How often do you get the opportunity to go to a Hot Air Balloon Festival? Head to the Warren County Farmers’ Fairground between July 28 and August 4th for their 81st annual festival. The kids will love the pony rides, animal exhibits, and excellent food choices. Also, the antique car and tractor show is always a hit. Finally, for those that enjoy a bit faster paced fun, head to the Main Arena for a diesel truck pull and two demolition derbies. After you’ve spent a fun family day at the fair, look to the sky for up to 30 hot air balloons that lift off from the green pasture each night.

The Butterfly Festival

Head to the Watershed Reserve on August 4th for the Butterfly Festival. The whole family can learn and observe about the balance between humans and nature. They’ve added several new games and activities this year including an obstacle course, hay rides, and the popular Butterfly and Bug Parade. Mom and Dad can also enjoy themselves by kicking back in the beer garden or cooling off in the misting tent. Nature and bug lovers won’t want to miss this event.

The Morristown Jazz & Blues Festival

In the mood for some music? The 7th annual Morristown Jazz and Blues Festival on August 19th might be right up your alley. Admission is free, and it is an all-day event. Bring your lawn chairs and blankets, and settle in for a day filled with music. As an added bonus, many local restaurants are offering specials for festival attendees.
