Thomas Edison National Historical Park

The park preserves Edison’s laboratory and home, Glenmont, in West Orange, New Jersey.

The park’s visitor center is located in West Orange, New Jersey at 211 Main Street. Upon arrival at Thomas Edison National Historical Park you’ll pay the entrance fee, receive a house tour ticket and the all-important car pass for your NJ rental car from Value Van & Car Rental. Once you have the car pass you’ll be able to visit Glenmont.
Taking a trip to see Edison’s former home and laboratory is an ideal way for the entire family to learn about science and history together. The entrance fee is only $7 for adults and free for kids under the age of 15, making this a very affordable activity.
